My name is Mary De Courcy and I am delighted to be able to tell you about myself and the therapies I practice. Firstly a little about myself. I am a native of Wicklow Town have lived here most of my life. I enjoyed working with Wicklow County Council for more than thirty years. I am the proud mother of two grown up sons.
When I began to study Crystal Therapy and Energy Healing with the Vibrational Healing Foundation of London, in February, 2008, it became clear to me that this would soon become a life-changing journey. I studied with Henriette Maasdjik, Director of the Foundation, for two years.
Crystals are such powerful tools, that an in-depth understanding of their energies in both theory and practice are essential for those who wish to use them for healing. The professional training course provides this and leads to a fully recognised qualification in both Crystal and Energy (Spiritual) healing.
Furthermore, a solid, basic working knowledge on how to use sound and colour in combination with crystal and energy healing as well as an understanding of how to use flower remedies and flowers in healing are also covered in the course.
Spiritual development is incorporated throughout the course, empowering each individual through awareness, exploration and growth within their own truth. Healers are guided to work with care, integrity, responsibility and confidence, always for the highest good of their clients as well as humanity.
I graduated from the Vibrational Healing Foundation in December 2010.
Prior to graduation and after a considerable amount of thought, I decided to take a leap of faith and left my job, in November 2009 in order to concentrate on becoming a dedicated and authentic healer to help people in a real and positive way.
What is Healing?
Healing is a natural, heart-centred way of offering therapeutic support. The healer, through quiet personal development and extensive training, learns to access the gentle, non-physical energy of the aura. The aura surrounds and permeates the physical body and is connected to the seven main energy centres known as the Chakras.
Health and wellness is a balanced interplay of energy between the Chakras, the endocrine system and the nervous system.
How do crystals work?
The use of crystals for healing can be traced back to ancient times.
Mayan and Native American Indians used crystals for diagnosis and treatment of disease.
Crystals are grown within Mother Earth and contain atoms that carry certain vibrations. They can receive, project and reflect light. Light is the highest form of energy known in the physical universe.
The human body is also crystalline in nature. We are 80% water and water is a form of liquid crystal. Our blood is also a liquid crystal. As crystals can absorb, transmute and disperse many different energies they can therefore be used to affect our bodies at an energetic level. The energy is transferred because of the resonant effect between the crystal and the crystalline parts of the body. It is a gentle non-invasive and very relaxing therapy.
What to expect during and following a treatment
A treatment takes approximately 40 minutes. The client lies on a comfortable therapy couch in a room that is warm and comfortable with soft lighting and soothing music. Crystals are placed on or around the body. During the treatment the practitioner opens up to become a channel to allow healing energies be directed to the client for their highest benefit through the appropriate crystals, specially chosen for the individual client.
Immediate affects may not be noticeable but, over the course of the following days, a feeling of health and wellbeing is experienced. It is advisable to drink plenty of fluids afterwards to allow for the elimination of toxins that have been released.
I have worked with Learner Drivers, pre- exam students, professional people and many others who all report a feeling of relaxation, centredness and increased energy.

The use of crystals is also beneficial in homes, offices and other buildings. By placing specially chosen crystals in various appropriates grids and layouts they will disperse old negative energies and replace them with light and vibrant energies.
